Six-time UEFA Champions League winners Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman ahead of a possible transfer this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.
Lookman had an impressive campaign with Atalanta last season. The Super Eagles forward registered 17 goals and 10 assists in 45 appearances for La Dea last season.
However, the whole Europe actually took notice of him in the final of the UEFA Europa League, when he scored a hattrick for Atalanta to help them defeat Bayer Leverkusen.
Following his brilliant performances for Atalanta, there have been talks that Lookman could exit the team, amid interest from the Premier League. However, nothing concrete has come from those talks.
Meanwhile, transfer expert Florian Plettigoal has revealed that Lookman’s name has been mentioned at Bayern Munich in view of a potential transfer, but the club have not made a move for him yet.
The former German champions are looking to rebuild after a dismal season with Thomas Tuchel as coach. And Lookman could be a decent option on the left side of their attack. He is also valued at around €40 million, which is a decent price for Bayern Munich.
Nonetheless, it appears that Lookman would favour a transfer to the English Premier League, but he wants a big club.
Lookman has not been linked with any of the traditional top-six clubs in England. But it is a long summer, and a top English club could move for the 26-year-old forward.
