Napoli ready to reduce asking price for Osimhen as Premier League clubs get uninterested

Former Italian Serie A champions Napoli are ready to reduce their asking price for Victor Osimhen to €100 million this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been one of the most wanted players in the world for the last two years. It is not a surprise though, as he has been clinical in front of goal, providing 76 goals and 16 assists in 133 appearance for Napoli since he joined.

However, Napoli have managed to hold him down because of their huge demands from suitors. Last summer, the club demanded up to €140 million. But after the Nigerian extended his contract last season, his release clause was set at €120 million.

Previously, Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG, and Al Hilal were the most interested clubs in signing Osimhen. But recall that Osimhen has always favoured a transfer to the Premier League.

Now according to reports from GFNI, the English clubs now appear to be uninterested and are looking at other options. This could cost Napoli because Osimhen is unwilling to move to PSG, or Saudi Arabia, where a bumper deal is waiting for him.

With the Nigerian striker’s contract expiring in two years, the Partenopeans are desperate to let him go. Due to this, they may be willing to accept €100 million for Osimhen.

As it stands, Arsenal seem to be the only feasible destination in the Premier League. Chelsea seem to be more interested in signing a striker below 23 years. Manchester United already have Rasmus Hojlund, and Newcastle have Alexander Isak.

If the status quo remains the same, Osimhen could just find himself at PSG next season.
