Turkish Federation finally give verdict on Bright Osayi-Samuel’s encounter with fan in Fenerbahce vs Trabzonspor clash

The Turkey Football Federation (TFF) has concluded its investigation into the altercation between Bright Osayi-Samuel and a fan during the Fenerbahce vs Trabzonspor match, ruling that no disciplinary action will be taken against the Nigerian defender, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osayi-Samuel garnered praise for his bravery as he stood his ground and defended his teammates when a fan approached them at the Papara Park stadium after the final whistle before the international break with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Initially facing a disciplinary hearing convened by the TFF following his international commitments with the Super Eagles, Osayi-Samuel has now been cleared of any wrongdoing in the incident.

In the wake of the TFF’s decision, it has been revealed by A Spor that Trabzonspor, the club where Paul Onuachu currently plays, will face penalties, including six home matches without spectators and a hefty fine of 3 million 112 thousand TL.

Additionally, other individuals involved in the incident, including Jayden Oosterwolde, İrfan Can Eğribayat, Egemen Korkmaz, Kürşat Çiftlik, and Okan Özkan, have been handed various bans and fines by the TFF.

With the matter resolved, Fenerbahce can now focus on their upcoming matches, including a crucial encounter against Galatasaray, as Osayi-Samuel aims to continue contributing to his team’s success on the field.
