British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua’s impressive victory over Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, drew attention from football personalities Jose Mourinho and Ronaldo de Lima, as reported by Soccernet.ng.
Joshua secured his fourth consecutive victory with a second-round knockout win against Cameroonian boxer Ngannou during the “Knockout Chaos” card.
Former AS Roma manager Mourinho and ex-Real Madrid player Ronaldo de Lima were in attendance to witness Joshua’s dominating performance against the professional mixed martial artist.
As earlier reported by Soccernet.ng, the Nigerian boxer was spotted with Christian Ronaldo, Francis Ngannou, Tyson Fury, others before the clash, which suggests that these stars will all be available for the clash.
However, despite expectations of Ronaldo’s presence, the Al Nassr forward was absent, likely due to his team’s upcoming AFC Champions League quarter-final second leg against Al Ain—which a need is needed to advance to the next round.
Mourinho and Ronaldo de Lima’s presence at the event shows how significant the match is, with Joshua knocking out Ngannou over two rounds to secure a decisive victory.
Ngannou, known for his previous impressive performance against Tyson Fury, had raised doubts about Joshua’s chances.
However, Joshua silenced doubters with a commanding performance, fulfilling his promise of a knockout win within five minutes of the fight.
