“The style suits him” – Glen Hoddle urges Super Eagles striker to make Premier League switch

Osimhen scored against Barcelona in their 1-1 draw in Italy.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea midfielder, Glen Hoddle, has backed Super Eagles and Napoli striker to make a move to the English Premier League in the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen, 25, scored twenty-six goals to cart away the Serie A Golden Boot last season and has been hyped up by Hoddle to thrive in England if he joins a Premier League club this summer.

The former Lille man couldn’t prevent his beloved Napoli from their UEFA Champions League round of sixteen exit as they lost 2-4 to Robert Lewandowski’s Barcelona on aggregate.

The Nigerian striker is one of the most sought-after strikers in the world, with Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Arsenal hungry to reinstate a central figure in their attack.

The former Wolfsburg man has scored thirteen goals in twenty-four games for Die Partonepei this season, and will most likely depart the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona Stadium this summer, with a release clause in his contract set to be triggered for any parties interested in the services of the CAF Player of the Year.

Former Chelsea manager, Glen Hoddle believes the Nigerian international is perfectly suited to the Premier League as his mindset will play a huge role to his success in England.

“He’s a Premier League player looking at him, the style of him as well, and the league, the style suits him, but he’s got his hunger back. That’s the main thing. I think now he’s back to his best. He’s got the hunger, and the movement, he wants to score goals. That’s the big difference, the mindset,” 66-year-old Hoddle said on TNT Sports during their UEFA Champions League show.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are the Premier League clubs interested in Osimhen and a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League will play a key role in the choice of the Super Eagles striker destination.
