Meet Gabriel Osho and Benjamin Tianimu: Newly invited players to the Super Eagles squad

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are slated to tackle the Black Stars of Ghana and Mali on March 22 and March 26, 2024

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are gearing up for an exciting friendly clash against the Black Stars of Ghana and Mali’s Les Aigles, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

In the 26-man squad announced by the Nigeria Football Federation, Gabriel Osho from Luton Town FC and Tanimu Benjamin, recently signed with Ihefu SC, have been called up to reinforce the team for the upcoming matches.

These high-profile international friendlies are set to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, where both Gabriel Osho and Tanimu Benjamin will proudly represent Nigeria.

Meet Gabriel Osho:

Gabriel Osho began his career with Reading FC but gained prominence as a first-team player for Luton during the 2021–22 season, making 26 appearances.

His standout moment came in the Championship play-off semi-final against Sunderland, where he contributed to the team’s promotion to the Premier League.

Despite an injury setback at the start of the 2023–24 season, Osho made a memorable Premier League debut against Aston Villa and netted his first Premier League goal against Arsenal, showcasing his talent and potential to bolster the Super Eagles’ defense in the absence of William Troost-Ekong.

Meet Tanimu Benjamin:

Currently, with Ihefu SC in Tanzania, Tanimu Benjamin made a notable transition from Bendel Insurance before the Africa Cup Of Nations tournament.

The 21-year-old central defender, formerly with Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria Premier Football League, represents the wealth of talent nurtured within the NPFL ranks.

The addition of Benjamin shows the extent of his potential and gives the Super Eagles’ defence more depth and vigour.

  • Get amuneke Emmanuel ASAP let us see him with these friendly matches first hand, let us observe him before he signs the contract... or if the Nff is as confused as ever and as usually so, then they should appoint finidi ASAP let him audition with these friendly games. my own opinion is that based on continuity, get amuneke and finidi as head coach and assistant respectively. No time for jamboree applications and searching up and down when a serious Nff should remember that June is coming fast and near.

    • We need Emmanuel Amunike to take over super eagles immediately, this man has proven his worth with the U17 team and has done well when he was in charge of Tanzania national team , I don't know what nff is waiting for , he should not be an assistant to anybody , let's give him the job bc some of these boys in SE are his boys .
