“I can bet on Kvara and Osimhen”- Ex-Italian footballer reveals expectations for Barcelona vs Napoli UCL showdown

Napoli would be banking on their forwards to deliver the good as they look to upset Barcelona

Former Italian footballer Stefan Schwoch has stated that if he had to gamble on any Napoli player to perform against Barcelona, he would bet on Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Soccernet.ng reports.

Napoli will be looking to upset Barcelona in Spain when they square off in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 fixture.

The Blaugrana dominated the first leg in Naples, but their lack of cutting edge ensured that they settled for a 1-1 draw, as the strikers on both sides- Robert Lewandowski and Victor Osimhen- scored to ensure it ended in a stalemate.

Going into the second leg on Tuesday, there is all to fight for, as any win for Napoli would guarantee them a place in the quarter-final. Ahead of the game, Schwoch, who played for Napoli during his active years, is optimistic about Napoli’s chances.

“If I had to bet a chip on a Napoli player, I would actually divide it in two and bet half on Kvara, who is in amazing form and half on Osimhen, who remains the player capable of changing the game,” Schwoch said per Napoli Magazine.

“Osimhen is not the most infallible penalty taker, but if it were to come to penalties, there are several Napoli players capable of taking them (Politano, Rui, Lobotka, Kvara and several others). But I am sure that it would also be up to Osimhen to take it.”

Napoli have never won at Barcelona in the last 13 years. However, with the Spanish championship struggling this season, Francesco Calzona’s men can fancy their chances.
