Ebenezer Akinsanmiro: Remo Stars academy paid a surprise visit to Inter Milan star – VIDEO

In a heartwarming twist during their Italian adventure, Remo Stars Junior team, known as Beyond Limits, made an unexpected visit to their former player and Inter Milan midfielder, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Soccernet.ng reports.

The surprise encounter unfolded during the team’s downtime on Saturday, adding a personal touch to their already impressive performance at the annual Viareggio Tournament in Italy.

Beyond Limits have been one of the most outstanding performers at the tournament, securing victories in their first three matches.

They started with a triumphant 3-0 win against Carraresse, followed by a 6-4 spectacle against Stella Rossa.

Their third match proved a nail-biter, as they emerged victorious with a 6-4 scoreline against Fiorentina.

The Remo Stars’ young squad took advantage of their free day by paying a surprise visit to their former teammate, Akinsanmiro.

Inter Milan U19, the team Akinsanmiro now plays for, was set to face Monza U19 at the KONAMI Youth Development Centre in Memory of Giacinto Facchetti (Milano) on Saturday.

Sat in the stands amidst the anticipation of the upcoming match, the Beyond Limits boys added excitement by chanting Akinsanmiro’s nickname, ‘Benzo,’ before kick-off to grab his attention.

Akinsanmiro, visibly delighted by the unexpected reunion, acknowledged the familiar faces from a distance before sharing warm greetings and hugs just moments before the game commenced.

Akinsanmiro played for 89 minutes before a 90th-minute strike from substitute Mattia Mosconi secured a 2-1 victory for Inter Milan U19, the Campionato Primavera 1 leaders.

Post-match, Akinsanmiro caught up with his former teammates inside the Inter Milan facility, creating a memorable moment before they departed for their base.

It would be recalled that Akinsanmiro rose to prominence with Beyond Limits during the Viareggio Tournament, paving the way for his move to Inter Milan in January 2023.

Since then, the 19-year-old midfielder has not only integrated into the youth setup but has also earned call-ups to the senior side.

Notably, he is credited with contributing to Inter Milan’s Coppa Italia triumph with the senior team last season.
