Chinaza Agoh was invited to the Nigeria U-20 female football team for the first time in May 2023 and her club coach praised her for achieving the feat.
Saudi Women’s League side, Al-Shabab Women, have secured the services of Nigeria U-20 forward, Chinaza Agoh from Delta Queens, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Falconet forward becomes the latest Nigerian female footballer to move to Saudi Arabia after Ashleigh Plumptre moved to Al-Ittihad after the FIFA Women’s World Cup. The move will also see her become club teammate with Super Falcons veteran midfielder, Rita Chikwelu.
Capable of playing as an attacking midfielder, a winger and a centre forward, Agoh’s versatility has seen her rise through the ranks very quickly, moving from the Delta Queens youth team to the senior team in a short time.
In May 2023, she was invited to the Falconets team ahead of Nigeria’s WAFU B U-20 Women’s game against Ghana, and in the following month, she played a crucial role as Delta Queens won the NWFL title, ending the club’s twelve-year wait for the title.
Agoh won the Most Valuable Player award, alongside the golden boot in the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership last season, with a brace from the substitutes’ bench in the final of the Super 6 against Bayelsa Queens, winning the trophy with four minutes left on the clock.
The young striker has now taken the next move in her career as she bids Delta Queens farewell and continues her journey to the top with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Shabab.
