Atletico Madrid’s Memphis Depay celebrates 30th birthday with Davido, Bellingham, Vinicius and others

Memphis Depay provided the assist for Marcos Llorente’s late equalizer in the Madrid derby when both sides faced off at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this month.

Netherlands and Atletico Madrid forward, Memphis Depay celebrated his 30th birthday a few days ago alongside other superstars like Davido, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior and others, Soccernet.ng reports.

The former Barcelona forward invited the Afrobeats artiste to perform at his birthday dinner hosted in Madrid, with a host of other players putting their club rivalry aside to celebrate the Dutchman.

A singer and rapper himself, Memphis gifted the Timeless crooner a Rolex watch after the performance, and Davido took to his Instagram story to thank the former Manchester United Player.

Other Real Madrid players also took their time to take a picture with the three-time Grammy Award nominee. Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Antonio Rüdiger, Vinícius Junior and David Alaba were all at the dinner to celebrate Memphis Depay.

Memphis has had dealings in the past with other Nigerian artists like DJ Cuppy. Both parties collaborated when the Dutchman launched his merch with a logo of his celebration as his brand.

The 30-year-old was tipped to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo after he joined Manchester United in 2015, replacing the estranged Ángel Di Maria who moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

He was given the iconic number seven jersey but ended up scoring seven goals in fifty-three appearances before he was shipped off to Olympique Lyonnais where he scored 76 goals in 178 games, his best output for a club-side in his career to date.
