Report: Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus eye Super Eagles’ AFCON hero

The Super Eagles star has been impressive at the Africa Cup of Nations, and if he continues with his impressive form, he could move to a bigger club soon

Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and Juventus have identified Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman as a transfer target in the summer transfer window, Soccernet.ng reports.

Lookman has enjoyed a steady rise in the last two years. The Super Eagles star left Leicester City two years ago after the club refused to sign him at the expiration of his loan deal. He then returned to his parent club, RB Leipzig, from where he joined Serie A side Atalanta permanently.

Since his move to La Dea, Lookman has impressed. Last season, the 26-year-old registered 13 goals and eight assists in 31 Serie A appearances.

This season, Lookman has continued with his impressive displays, helping Atalanta with seven goals and three assists in 18 appearances.

Lookman’s performances earned him a place in Nigeria’s AFCON squad, and he has repaid Jose Peseiro’s faith, recording three goals and one assist in five games.

In a related development per Ekrem Konur, Lookman is targeted by Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and Juventus.

He has just over two years left on his current deal, and he is valued at €30 million. However, Atalanta would likely demand more if Lookman continues with his impressive displays.

Lookman’s goals have pushed Nigeria to the semi-finals of the AFCON, but the Super Eagles are yet to know their foes.
