Soccernet.ng brings you everything you need to know about the Super Eagles’ Afcon fixture against Palancas Negras

Nigeria are eyeing a place in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final and only Angola stands in their way to achieving that ambition.

After a shaky start in Cote d’Ivoire, the Super Eagles stepped up their game to win book a place in the knock out phase – picking up wins against the hosts and Guinea Bissau.

In the Round of 16, they silenced eternal rivals Cameroon with Ademola Lookman bagging a brace. For the Palancras Negras, they reached the last four after scaling hurdles posted by Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Namibia.

While Angola are targeting a place in the semi-final – which would be their best ever finish in the competition, Jose Peseiro’s men are unwavering in their quest to be crowned as African kings for the fourth time.
