Watch: Victor Osimhen’s frustration – Mistakes Eq. Guinea’s bus for Super Eagles’ after AFCON 2023 opener

The Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered a disappointing 1-1 draw in their Africa Cup of Nations opener against Equatorial Guinea

The standout player for the Super Eagles, Victor Osimhen, displayed his frustration following Nigeria’s lackluster performance in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations opener against Equatorial Guinea, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

Despite high expectations for a dominant victory given Nigeria’s superior player quality, the Super Eagles settled for a 1-1 draw against the Central African side.

Soccernet.ng captured Osimhen ignoring media questions as he exited the dressing room for the team bus, revealing his evident disappointment.

In another video shared by Brila FM, the Napoli forward was seen momentarily confusing Equatorial Guinea’s bus for the Super Eagles’ before correcting himself.

Osimhen, named the current Confederation of African Football Best Player of the Year, showcased his exceptional skills by scoring Nigeria’s equaliser just seconds after Iban Salvador netted the opening goal. The Nigerian fans passionately cheered his name at the Olympique Alassane Ouattara Stadium.

Despite Nigeria’s 15 goal attempts, with only six on target, Osimhen appeared dissatisfied as he couldn’t convert some clear chances into goals to extend his team’s lead.

The Super Eagles are now gearing up for their next challenge, where they hope to turn things around in the 2023 AFCON tournament.
