WATCH: Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk vibes to Omah Lay’s Holy Ghost in Anfield

Mohammed Salah, Curtis Jones and Cody Gakpo were among the goals as Liverpool scored four goals in their win against Newcastle last night.

Liverpool and Netherlands central defender, Virgil Van Dijk was seen vibing to Omah Lay’s hit song, Holy Ghost in the tunnel at Anfield before the kick-off in the game against Newcastle United, Soccernet.ng reports.

Van Dijk, 32, has been ever-present for the Merseysiders this season, starting eighteen games out of twenty, alongside bagging a goal and two assists.

The Reds came into the new year as number one on the Premier League table and welcomed Eddie Howe’s Newcastle for their first league game of the new year, the last one before Mohammed Salah joins up with the Egyptian squad for the AFCON tournament that will be held in Ivory Coast.

In a welcome video posted on social media by the club, the players were going into the dressing room, and the Dutch centre-half was seen whistling and vibing to Omah Lay’s hit single – Holy Ghost.

Stanley Omah Didia, popularly called Omah Lay is a Nigerian Afro-beat artiste, widely known for his hit singles like Holy Ghost, Bad Influence, Soso, and Godly.

Virgil wouldn’t be the first footballer to enjoy the music of the 26-year-old Nigerian, as Jadon Sancho was also seen vibing to Omah Lay’s bad influence a few years back, also introducing the song to his friends.

Van Dijk, who is an ambassador for JBL, a music hardware store, mentioned that he enjoys listening to Afrobeat, highlighting he loves the sound, and it’s one of his go-to.

With Van Dijk and Konate at the back, Liverpool have conceded just eighteen goals from twenty outings this season, meaning they have the best defence in the Premier League this season.
