Jamaica-based Nigeria-eligible midfielder reacts to debut goal for Harbourview FC

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder earlier completed his move from laxsocietyja Academy U23 to the prestigious Harbourview FC

Harbourview FC midfielder, Chidalu Promise Chukwuemeka, expressed his delight at scoring his debut goal since joining the club, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 20-year-old recently signed a two-year contract with the Jamaica-based team, marking a significant milestone in his budding football career.

In a recent match against Waterhouse, who initially took the lead, Promise, eligible for the Nigeria U-23 team, capitalised on a pass, slotting the ball past the away team’s goalkeeper to level the scoreline.

Although another goal from the opposition dampened the debut goal celebration, the young midfielder remained excited about his achievement.

“I feel thrilled because it means a lot to me, my family, and Harbourview Football Club. Contributing when the team needs it is what brings joy to the fans. While the goal didn’t secure us the victory, personally, it marks the beginning of more goals for me.” He told Soccernet.ng

Chukwuemeka’s skill set, adaptability, and potential have made him a valuable asset for the club, which is keen to provide him with opportunities to showcase his abilities on the international stage.

The Nigerian-eligible player is poised to carry forward his form into Harbourview FC’s upcoming Jamaica Premier League fixture.
