With Victor Boniface leading the attack for Leverkusen, they’re yet to go a game without scoring a goal and are currently unbeaten in all competitions.
Super Eagles striker, Victor Okoh Boniface, had his grandmother in the stands as she watched on in Leverkusen’s game against Borussia Dortmund, Soccernet.ng reports.
The former Union-Saint Gilloise striker joined Die Werkself in the summer and has been a vital player for Xabi Alonso’s side, making them the only unbeaten team in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
In a scintillating clash at the Bay Arena, Leverkusen were faced with a true test of character as they welcomed Borussia Dortmund, and just to set the night up for a classical, Dortmund’s Julian Ryerson opened the scoring inside five minutes.
Victor Boniface then equalized after a superb cutback from Patrick Schick, and the entire 30,210 crowd at the Bay Arena chanted his name, with his Grandmother joyfully joining in a proud moment for her. Watch the video here.
After the game, the 22-year-old Nigerian striker introduced her grandmother to his teammates, Granit Xhaka and Edmond Tapsoba. Xhaka shook hands with her, and the pair proceeded to pose for a picture, taken by Boniface.
Tapsoba opened his arms wide and welcomed her, before Boniface and his grandmother walked out of the conference area.
