Reports: Sevilla, Juventus, and Barcelona eye hot Super Eagles star

The Super Eagles ace has piqued the interest of two La Liga clubs, Sevilla FC and Bareclona FC following his impressive performance for his club

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has reportedly attracted interest from La Liga clubs Sevilla and Barcelona, as well as Serie A side Juventus, Soccernet.ng reports.

Despite his current stint in the EFL Championship following Leicester City’s relegation to the English second tier, Ndidi remains a sought-after player by several teams.

Recent reports from Spanish media indicate that both Sevilla and Barcelona are keen on securing Ndidi to reinforce their squads, setting the stage for a potential battle between the two clubs and Juventus.

Earlier indications suggested Sevilla’s monitoring of the Super Eagles midfielder, while Barcelona had previously included Ndidi on their shortlist in September, keeping their interest alive.

During the summer, Ndidi was heavily linked with moves to Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Galatasaray. However, no deal materialised for various reasons.

If Ndidi does not sign a new contract with Leicester before his current one expires in 2024, the East Midlands club risks losing him on a free transfer in the subsequent summer window.

At present, there have not been any comments from Ndidi’s camp regarding these rumours. However, it seems likely that regardless of Leicester’s promotion to another league, Ndidi might be seeking a new experience in his career.
