The Super Falcons of Nigeria recently thumped the Lucy of Ethiopia at the MKO Abiola Stadium with a score of four goals to nil
Stand-in coach for the Super Falcons, Justine Magudu, has expressed that the 11-time Africa Women’s Cup of Nations champions are fully prepared to face Cameroon, Soccernet.ng reports.
Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Uganda after a previous 2-0 defeat to the Crested Cranes at the FUFA Technical Centre.
As a result, the Cameroonian women are set to clash with Nigeria’s Super Falcons—who defeated Ethiopia on 5-1 aggregate—in the next round of the 2024 Olympic qualifiers.
Magudu, who represented Coach Waldrum in both legs against Ethiopia, emphasized that the Falcons are not apprehensive about facing any opponent.
“Whoever comes our way, we will be ready for them. To qualify for the Olympics, you must compete against the best teams and be well-prepared,” he stated.
The 2018 COSAFA Women’s Championship runners-up have a history of encounters with Nigeria’s Super Falcons, winning once in their last five meetings, which occurred in 2012.
Magudu further disclosed that the Falcons are fully prepared for the upcoming matches and have devised game plans to ensure victory in this significant challenge.
“We are set to take on Cameroon in the penultimate round, and we have our game plan to secure victory and qualify for the final round,” he added.
The Super Falcons will travel to face Cameroon in the first leg of their Olympic qualification tie, followed by the second leg on home turf.

This Justine Magudu statement is simply a trash. How on Earth could a Coach of SF uttered such understatement to berate Super Falcons.
Lioness Coach was supposed to say that to SF. SE need Coach not this kind of Kindergarten Coach
Magudu is not our coach. Waldstrum is our coach
So I am not bothered about the trash she is saying. The team is already becoming tactically deficient like it was before the World Cup. Waldstrum should be brought back immediately if we hope to qualify.
