Viktoria Plzen have reacted to transfer rumours linking forward Rafiu Durosinmi with a move away from the club this winter, Soccernet.ng reports.
Durosinmi is one of Viktoria Plzen’s most sought-after players despite only joining the club on a free transfer in January from Karvina and permanently in July.
The 20-year-old striker’s all-round display has been excellent this term where he has notched six goals and six accidents in 11 league appearances for Viktoria Plzen. The Box2Box academy product also fired three goals in six games during the Europa Conference League qualifier.
Durosinmi’s brilliance has caught the attention of several top flight clubs in Europe, with Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolves, Brighton and Stuttgart all believed to hold an interest in the youngster.
According to reports in Germany, Frankfurt have reached a verbal agreement with Durosinmi, with the club reportedly set to cough out up to ten million euros for his transfer.
However, Václav Hanzlík, spokesperson for Viktoria Plzen has clarified that the West Bohemian club has not received any concrete and adequate offers for the Nigerian.
“For the moment, there is no concrete offer on the table that would meet our expectations,” Hanzlík told ČTK as per VbcFoot. “There can therefore be no question of a transfer at the moment.”
Durosinmi is currently recovering from an injury he suffered in October as he underwent surgery on damaged knee ligaments. The young talent will not play for the rest of the year.
