Ex-Super Eagles midfielder praises Manchester City star Doku

Doku has been remarkable for Manchester City since he joined in the summer, and Oliseh has been impressed

Former Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Oliseh has praised Manchester City forward Jeremy Doku for his eye-catching performances, Soccernet reports.

Doku joined Manchester City from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes in a deal worth €60million. The 21-year-old winger arrived with a lot of expectation, as he is widely regarded as the next best player from Belgium.

So far, Doku has proved his mettle. He has broken into the starting lineup in Pep Guardiola’s team. The 21-year-old winger has registered two goals and five assists in eight appearances for the English champions.

He proved his brilliance again on Saturday, when the City downed Bournemouth 6-1. Doku recorded one goal and four assists in the game to help his side cruise to a comfortable win.

Former Nigeria midfielder Oliseh took to social media to praise the Belgian attacker. He compared Doku to a car which has s found a perfect runway.

“Doku is like a Ferrari who has now found the five lane runway! Pleasure to watch,” Oliseh wrote.

Guardiola is know to improve young players. And with Doku’s displays, he could become a very useful tool for Manchester City this season as they look to defend their treble.
