The Nigerian forward has enjoyed a memorable past 12 months, and he could move to one of Italy’s big clubs
Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman could leave Atalanta next summer if reports from Italy are anything to go by, Soccernet.ng understands.
Lookman joined Atalanta last year when the Italian side paid just under ten million euros to secure his services from German Bundesliga campaigners RB Leipzig.
The former Everton forward excelled in Bergamo, contributing 23 goals (15 goals, eight assists) across 33 appearances in all competitions.
The 25-year-old has already scored two goals in Serie A this term, and he delivered a brilliant display last week as Atalanta defeated Sporting CP 1-2 in Lisbon in the Europa League.
Lookman’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed.
According to Giornale dello Sport, Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan are monitoring Lookman with a view to moving for him in the next summer transfer window.
Lookman’s contract with Atalanta will not expire until 2026, and the club may likely refuse to let the former Everton star leave the Gewiss Stadium on the cheap.
As per Transfermarkt, Lookman is currently valued at €30 million – the second most valuable Super Eagles player in the game.
Any club preparing to convince Atalanta to let go of their star forward will have to match their valuation of the exciting winger.
