‘Quite embarrassing’ – Ex-Aston Villa and Man City star on Osimhen-Napoli Tik-Tok video

Napoli recently uploaded a video that playfully mocked the Super Eagles attacker for a missed penalty during Napoli’s away match against Bologna

Former Manchester City and Aston Villa star, Micah Richards, has expressed his displeasure regarding the Victor Osimhen video posted by Napoli on TikTok, Soccernet.ng reports.

According to the Englishman, the Gli Azzurri made an ’embarrassing’ move by uploading a video that represented the Nigerian striker as a coconut.

The video, which was uploaded by Napoli’s social media manager, Alessio Fortino, on Napoli’s TikTok feed, playfully mocked the Super Eagles attacker for a missed penalty during Napoli’s away match against Bologna.

Although the social media handler has reportedly resigned, the memories of the event could not be ignored by the former England international, who has questioned the act.

“Where do we start with that? Because I’m confused. You got a black guy and dressed him as a coconut.

“Because no matter what, whether they were meant to be offensive or not, surely you would think in your mind, you’ve got a black person. Do we cover his body with a coconut?” he questioned on CBS Sports Golazo.

Speaking further, he revealed that whether the video was addressing Osimhen or anyone else, what Napoli released as a club was embarrassing.

“Like does that not go through your head at any single point? And yes, we can’t sort of say the whole of Napoli. [It] might have been one guy, might have been two people. We don’t know.

“But for that to go out, it’s quite embarrassing,” he said.

Rudi Garcia and his men lost to Real Madrid in a 5-goal thriller tie with a score of 3 goals to 2, and they will be looking to bounce back from the defeat when they tackle Fiorentina.
