Nigerians abroad: Osimhen, Onuachu, Olanare, Olusegun steal the headlines in Italy, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia

In the Azerbaijani Premyer Liqa, Neftchi Baku won 1-0 against Turan with Aaron Olanare’s 87th-minute goal, his first for the club.

Emmanuel Apeh’s well-taken penalty helped Sabah earn a thrilling 2-2 draw with Səbail at the ASCO Arena in Baku.

In the Czech First Division, Abdullahi Tanko’s fifth goal in ten games led Baník Ostrava to a 3-0 victory over Sigma Olomouc.

Adeleke Akinyemi scored in Karviná’s impressive 5-2 triumph over Slovan Liberec.

Rafiu Durosinmi scored Viktoria Plzen’s only goal in a 2-1 defeat against Sparta Prague.

In the English Championship, Southampton beat Leeds United 3-1, with Joe Aribo playing the final five minutes.

In the French Women’s Division, Stade de Reims drew 0-0 with Guingamp, with Oluwatosin Demehin in defense and Rofiat Imuran as a second-half substitute.

Regina Otu scored her first goal of the season in Saint-Étienne’s 1-1 draw with Montpellier.

Over to the German Bundesliga, where Bayer Leverkusen won 3-0 at Mainz, despite Victor Boniface not scoring.

In the Italian Serie A, after coming off the bench, Victor Osimhen scored Napoli’s second goal in a 4-0 win over Lecce. 

AC Milan won 2-0 against Lazio, with second-half goals from Christian Pulisic and Noah Okafor. Samuel Chukwueze replaced Pulisic in the 82nd minute.

In Japan’s J2 League, Peter Utaka provided the assist for Ventforet Kofu’s winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Mito Hollyhock.

Olakunle Olusegun applied the finishing touch for Krasnodar’s second goal in a 2-0 away victory at Rubin Kazan in a Russian Premier League clash. 

In Saudi Arabia, Saviour Godwin scored his first goal for Al Akhdoud in a thrilling 2-1 win over Al Raed in the Saudi Pro League.

In the Spanish La Liga, Real Sociedad handed a 3-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao, with Umar Sadiq providing an assist.

In the Women Division, Atletico Madrid drew 1-1 with Levante, with Super Falcons forward Rasheedat Ajibade featuring for the last 13 minutes.

Sevilla suffered a 5-1 defeat against Madrid, with Toni Payne scoring Sevilla’s consolation goal.

In Turkey, Paul Onuachu scored for the third consecutive match, helping Trabzonspor win 2-1 against Pendikspor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Hamzat Ojediran provided the assist to Debrecen opening goal but Újpest struck twice late on to bounce to a 1-2 away win in the Hungarian NB 1.

In the Israeli Ligat Ha’al, Ibraheem Jabaar claimed the assist to Maccabi Petah last goal as they made light work of Bnei Sakhnin courtesy of a huge 5-1 victory.

Ifedayo Olusegun fired in a penalty in first-half stoppage and it turned out to be the winner for Kedah as they defeated Kuala Lumpur City 1-0 in the Malaysian Super League.

In the Serbian Prva Liga, Elijah Peace and Efe Ugiagbe both featured for Mačva Šabac in their clash with Jedinstvo Ub at the Stadion FK Mačva in Šabac. Ugiagbe produced the winning goal two minutes into second half to hand the home side a 1-0 win and all the three points at stake.
