Davido responds to Amaju Pinnick’s allegations over missed event

Amaju Pinick was elected president of the NFF in September 2014 and re-elected on September 20, 2018, before being succeeded by Ibrahim Gusau

Popular Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has fired back at ex-President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, following allegations of a no-show at the 19th edition of Warri Again, Soccernet.ng reports.

According to reports, the former Delta State FA Chairman and FIFA executive council member, claimed that Davido had been paid a substantial sum of $94,600 to perform at the event.

He further alleged that an additional $18,000 was spent to charter a plane for the artist, who ultimately did not attend the show.

During the event, Pinnick publicly addressed the issue, stating that Davido had been unavailable despite the financial arrangements made. He highlighted the expenses incurred in an attempt to have the artist perform.

In response to these allegations, Davido took to his official Twitter page, which is now known as X. He expressed his intent to continue performing anywhere in Nigeria, including Warri.

“Nobody can stop me from performing anywhere in Nigeria… Warri, I will see you soon.” he wrote.

Davido also went on to suggest that Pinnick was not someone who should be involved in such matters. He posted an image of the NFF logo with the caption “🙏🏾 make I no talk 😂” and added, “Throwing stones, but u Dey live for glass house.”

The exchange on social media has drawn attention from fans and the public, leaving many curious about the details surrounding the event and the reasons for Davido’s absence.
