Ajakaiye and Folorunsho earn first call up as Super Falcons announce squad for Paris 2024 qualifiers against Ethiopia

Super Falcons of Nigeria are slated to tackle Ethiopia for the upcoming Paris 2024 Women Olympic Football Tournament

The Super Falcons have unveiled a formidable squad of 22 players for their upcoming Paris 2024 Women Olympic Football Tournament qualification matches against Ethiopia, Soccernet.ng reports.

The squad includes star players such as goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defender Osinachi Ohale, and forward Asisat Oshoala.

However, Opeyemi Ajakaiye and Comfort Folorunsho, who showcased their skills during the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, have earned their first-ever call-up to the Super Falcons squad.

Ethiopia, who advanced to this stage after eliminating Chad in the first round, will host the first leg of this crucial second-round fixture in Addis Ababa on Wednesday, October 25th, with the second leg set to take place in Nigeria on Tuesday, October 31st.

The Women’s Olympic Football Tournament is set to be held in Paris, France, next year. The Super Falcons competed in the Olympics in 2000, 2004, and 2008.
