Super Eagles newcomer, Gift Orban, has returned to training with his club, KAA Gent, in preparation for the upcoming Jupiler Pro League weekend clash, Soccernet.ng reports.
Orban recently earned a call-up to represent the Super Eagles in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against São Tomé. Unfortunately, he sustained an injury and was unable to make his debut for the national team.
In recent training sessions with the Buffalo, Orban has been seen actively participating alongside his teammates as they prepare for their match against Oud-Heverlee Leuven.
The sight of Orban back in action is undoubtedly a positive development, especially after Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro revealed that the young striker had experienced muscle pain, preventing him from making his national team debut.
“Orban felt pain in the muscles. He cannot play with an injury because we have to seek permission from the club. We have a good relationship with the clubs,” explained Peseiro regarding Orban’s exclusion.
With Orban participating in training and showing signs of progress, there is hope that he may be included in Hein Vanhaezebrouck’s squad. KAA Gent aims to strengthen their position at the top of the league standings.

The Nigerian football community eagerly anticipates Orban’s return to action, considering his impressive record of two goals in four Belgian Pro League appearances. His continued contributions will be crucial for KAA Gent’s success in the upcoming fixtures.
