The Nigeria international is looking to make an impact in Italy after arriving from Spain in the summer
Former Chelsea striker Alexandre Pato has praised Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze made a €20 million move from Villarreal to AC Milan in July but has yet to make a significant impact at the San Siro. He has made three appearances for Milan, all as a substitute, accumulating just 53 minutes of playing time.
During his time at Villarreal, Chukwueze earned a strong reputation, notably winning the UEFA Europa League in 2021.
His qualities as a player are well-established, including his unpredictable dribbling, excellent through-ball ability, and proficiency in making smart short passes.
Former Brazilian striker Pato has taken notice of these attributes and spoke about them to Gazzetta.it, saying,
“Strong, resilient, and very fast: the top conditions for playing as a winger. I must say that the club has made a significant, clever, and well-structured transfer market move.”
AC Milan is gearing up to face Inter Milan in a San Siro derby this weekend.
Chukwueze will be eager to secure a spot in the starting lineup for the Rossoneri, particularly after his recent goal-scoring performance for Nigeria.
Last Sunday, he came off the bench to contribute to Nigeria’s 6-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe in Uyo.
