D1 Féminine side, Stade de Reims Women, have shown their appreciation to Super Falcons’ players Tosin Demehin and Rofiat Imuran for their remarkable performances in the Women’s World Cup, Soccernet.ng reports.

Teammates of the two Super Falcons stars were seen forming a guard of honour during training sessions to welcome them back to the club after the tournament.

The Nigerian Super Falcons made a strong impression at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, remaining unbeaten in Group B alongside Australia, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland.

In the Round of 16, despite a goalless draw and extra time, Nigeria’s team under Randy Waldrum showed their strength against the Lionesses. The game was ultimately decided by penalties, with Nigeria losing 4-2.

Throughout the tournament, Demehin showcased her defensive prowess alongside Osinachi Ohae in the Super Falcons’ lineup for both group matches and the knockout game against England.

Although, 19-year-old Onumonu could not make an impact for the Super Falcons squad than to cheer her teammates from the sideline.

After their impressive displays, their teammates took the time to welcome them back with applause and a guard of honour.
