WATCH: Lagos Gov. Sanwo-Olu at Emirates watching Saka, Aina and Awoniyi in Arsenal Vs Nott’m Forest game

Arsenal kicked off their Premier League campaign with a fixture against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates

The Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was at the Emirates to watch three Nigerian stars in Arsenal’s opening game of the season against Nottingham Forest, Soccernet.ng.

The Gunners welcomed the Tricky Trees to North London in their opening game of the season on Saturday. Three Nigerian stars featured in the game, albeit one plays for England.

Three Lions star Bukayo Saka was in Arsenal colours, while Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina were in the other half for Nottingham Forest.

Recall that Saka met with Governor Sanwo-Olu this summer when he visited Nigeria. This time, the Arsenal star was on duty for his side, and he churned out a wonderful performance.

The 23-year-old right-winger scored a beautiful curler from outside the box to give Arsenal a two-goal lead after Eddie Nketiah had put them ahead earlier.

Ola Aina also had a decent performance before he was taken off in the 72nd minute. Awoniyi started from the bench, and he scored within ten minutes of his introduction.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of Arsenal, but the Tricky Trees would look to return to winning ways next week against Sheffield United.
