Tottenham agree on personal terms with Orban, but wantaway Chelsea star remains first choice

Spurs need a reliable option in attack following Kane’s departure to Bayern Munich, and Orban is one of the options on their list

English Premier League club Tottenham have agreed on personal terms with Nigerian striker Gift Orban, but they are seriously exploring the option of signing unsettled Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, Soccernet.ng reports.

Spurs have lost their best striker of all time Harry Kane to Bayern Munich this summer. They made €100million from the sale of the 30-year-old England international and would be looking to get some attacking reinforcements this summer.

Spurs did not look up to par in their first Premier League game of the season against Brentford. Captain Heung-min Son and Richarlison could not carry the team in Kane’s absence, and they had to settle for a 2-2 draw against the Bees.

Tottenham have been in contact with Gent’s Orban recently, with reports stating that they are willing to play up to €30 million for the Nigerian.

According to Goallballive, Spurs have agreed on personal terms with Orban. However, they are stalling the deal because their first choice is Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian attacker has been frozen out of Chelsea and will likely leave this summer. As such, he would be a cheaper target for Spurs.

Also, he is a more established player than Orban, who has not played in any of the top five leagues in Europe. However, buying Lukaku from Chelsea may cost up to €45million.

  • Kane departure to real Madrid?????
come on bro say the right news not what you think, you're misleading people Kane went to Bayern

  • You need to go back to journalism school....Rule 1.....keep to facts...
    1. Kane went to Bayern Munich not Madrid
    2. SPURS ARE NOT IN FOR LUKAKU.This has come from their press office..He doesn't fit the system .. Absolute rubbish article.

  • Spurs have NO interest whatsoever in that lazy, lumbering, Chelsea, carthorse, Lukaku! Journalist sources close to the club (Spurs) have confirmed that the rumours are utter rubbish, probably spread by Lukaku's agent.

Spurs's number one target, as confirmed by Belgium news media, is Gift Orban and talks are ongoing between Spurs and Gent with an official bid reportedly imminent.

  • Thats big lie. they dont have interest in Lukaku. get tour dact right it is just speculation that they could go for lukaku but it was never their first choice ....Gift Orban remains no1
