Sevilla, Real Betis, two other Laliga club, interested in signing Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid

The youngster has played just one game in the Spanish top-flight, but he already has admirers

Four Spanish Laliga clubs, Real Betis, Sevilla, Alaves, and Celta Vigo, are interested in signing Super Eagles-eligible striker Samuel Omorodion from Atletico Madrid this summer, Soccernet reports.

Atletico confirmed the signing of Omorodion from Granada on a five-year deal on Monday. The youngster joined Los Rojiblancos after Impressing on his debut, scoring for Granada in their 3-1 loss to the former Spanish champions.

It was Omorodion’s debut for Granada in the Laliga, but he had already started showing promise before the Atleti game. Last season, the 19-year-old striker scored 18 goals in 33 games for Granada B ahead of last season to become the league’s highest goalscorer.

However, despite Omorodion’s quality, he will not have much playtime at Atletico Madrid because of the presence of Alvaro Morata, Memphis Depay, and Antoine Griezmann.

Considering the high hopes in the youngsters, Los Rojiblancos would want him to gain more experience and improve.

In aimprove related development, Sito Fernandez reports that Sevilla, Real Betis, Celta Vigo, and Alaves are interested in signing Omorodion on loan this summer.

However, the Rojiblancos are yet to decide on Omorodion’s future. Atletico play Numancia in a friendly fixture on Thursday, and his fate could be decided after the game.

Omorodion was born in Spain to Nigerian parents, and he plays for the Spanish youth sides. Nonetheless, he can still play for Nigeria because he has not played for the senior team yet.
