Casemiro, Eriksen, and Fernandez lead United to victory over Awoniyi’s Nott’m Forest

Despite Taiwo Awoniyi’s impressive performance in the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford, Manchester United came from behind to secure a 3-2 victory

Nottingham Forest faced off against Manchester United in an English Premier League clash that kept fans on the edge of their seats for 90 minutes, Soccernet.ng reports.

Erik Ten Hag’s troops produced an impressive comeback from two goals behind to secure a 3-2 victory against the Tricky Trees to extend their home unbeaten run to 32 games.

Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi, continued his impressive run of form, extending his scoring streak to seven consecutive EPL matches

The Nigerian pounced a ball from a United’s corner kick, which went through to Awoniyi, who then drove the ball quickly before slotting it behind Andre Onana to make it his third goal in three matches in the 2023-24 Premier League campaign.

Things went from bad to worse as Willy Boly rose to Morgan Gibbs-White’s set piece and slotted it straight to find the back of the net to stun the home fans at Old Trafford.

Still before the half-time break, Marcus Rashford proved dangerous again as he showed his pace and power to drive into Forest’s goal area to find Christian Eriksen, who flicked it into the net.

Brazilian international Casemiro, opened the scoring and levelled the scoreline for the Red Devils in the second half before Bruno Fernandez sealed the victory for the Manchester club from the Penalty spots after Danilo brought down Rashford in the box.

Cooper and his men, having lost to United, currently sit in the 14th place of the Premier League standings and will be looking to bounce back when they Chelsea in their next EPL game.
