The Saudi Arabian league has witnessed an influx of players from Europe recently, and Onyekuru is the latest to join the train
Super Eagles striker Henry Onyekuru has completed a transfer from Turkish club Adana Demirspor to Saudi Arabian side Al Fayha, Soccernet reports.
The Saudi Arabian league has witnessed an influx of players in recent months. They have been offering clubs and players more money than usual to convince them.
Since Portugal legend Ronaldo made the move to Al Nassr, other top players like Karim Benzema, N’golo Kante, and Kalidou Koulibaly have followed suit.
Al Hilal, the former employers of Odion Ighalo even tempted Napoli star Victor Osimhen with a mouthwatering deal, but he refused.
However, that is not the case for Onyekuru. The 26-year-old forward spent last season at Adana Demirspor on loan from Olympiacos after a failed stint in Greece. Following a decent campaign that saw him register eight goals and three assists in 28 appearances, the Turkish side signed him on loan.
Nonetheless, Onyekuru is on the move again. The Nigerian star has announced that he has signed the Nigerian attacker on a two-year deal with the option of an extra year.
The 26-year-old attacker will join compatriot Anthony Nwakaeme, who joined the club from Trabzonspor last summer.
