The Super Eagles star piqued the interest of AC Milan following his impressive performance in the 2022-23 season
Swiss forward of Nigerian descent, Noah Okafor, eagerly looks forward to teaming up with fellow Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze at AC Milan, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Super Eagles forward joined the 19-time Serie A champions from Villarreal after piquing their interest with his quick feet and impressive performance in the 2022-23 season campaign.
Okafor’s move from Red Bull Salzburg to AC Milan has brought him together with Chukwueze, who also recently joined the Serie A giants from Villarreal.
Meanwhile, both players, with Nigerian roots, and of Igbo descent, are set to contribute their skills and talents to the iconic Italian club.
In a recent press conference, Okafor expressed his enthusiasm for playing alongside Chukwueze, highlighting their shared heritage.
“I knew him because he’s Nigerian, I had spoken to him many times. I’m looking forward to playing for the team,” Okafor revealed as quoted by Milan posts.
When questioned about the trio’s speed, including himself, Chukwueze, and Rafael Leao, Okafor emphasized the significance of team cohesion.
“I don’t know. The important thing is to have harmony in the team. We’ll see which of the three of us will be the fastest,” he commented.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian star, Chukwueze, is expected to unite with the fans when they tackle their Moza tomorrow, August 9, 2023.
