AC Milan vs Torino: Super Eagles’ Chukwueze handed first home victory in Milan

AC Milan hammered Torino 4 goals to 1 as Nigerian International, Samuel Chukwueze, secured his home debut

Nigerian sensation Samuel Chukwueze has been granted his much-anticipated home debut by AC Milan’s head coach Stefano Pioli in a thrilling clash against Torino, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Eagles star’s arrival to the Rossoneri during the 2023 summer transfer window has created waves of excitement among fans, who have high hopes for his impact in the Serie A.

Joining his compatriot and buddy, Victor Osimhen, who is also making waves in the same league, Chukwueze is primed to make his mark on Italian soil.

In the contest against Torino, Chukwueze entered the field after AC Milan had dominated against Ola Aina’s former club.

The prolific French striker Olivier Giroud had already netted twice from the penalty spot, solidifying the Rossoneri’s advantage.

Although the Nigerian international was anticipated to lead the forward line, Christian Pulisic, the former Chelsea forward, has been garnering favour in Pioli’s eyes, posing a challenge for Chukwueze to secure his place in the starting lineup.

The American forward Pulisic ignited the scoring frenzy in the 33rd minute, capitalizing on a precision pass from Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

This goal showcased Pulisic’s importance within Pioli’s strategic setup. The game saw contributions from two French internationals, with both Giroud and Theo Hernandez finding the back of the net, providing Milan with added confidence as they headed into the halftime interval.

Giroud was not content with his earlier goal, securing a brace in the second half before making way for Chukwueze to step onto the pitch.

As Chukwueze embarked on his home debut, he undoubtedly aimed to draw inspiration from football icons like Arjen Robben, as he looks forward to further unfolding his potential in the competitive landscape of the Italian league.

With this exciting debut, Chukwueze is set to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, as he seeks to carve his name among the Milan legends and contribute significantly to the team’s pursuit of glory in the Serie A.
