AC Milan Manager Pioli praises new signings Chukwueze and Okafor ahead of Serie A season kickoff

The former Serie A winners won their first championship of the season, giving Samul Chukwueze a debut to never forget

AC Milan boss, Stefano Pioli, has applauded the performance of Nigerian star, Samuel Chukwueze, in their victory against Monza, Soccernet.ng reports.

As the Rossoneri celebrates their Silvio Berlusconi Trophy victory, coach Pioli is quick to applaud the promising performances of new signings Super Eagles winger and Noah Okafor who is a Swiss International but of Nigerian descent.

Speaking about the recent acquisitions, Pioli expressed his satisfaction with the team’s growing depth and versatility.

He particularly highlighted Chukwueze’s unique skills, noting that the former Villarreal forward adds a vital one-on-one dimension to the team’s attacking prowess.

The Italian gaffer also acknowledged the versatility of Christian Pulisic, who demonstrated his capabilities as a trequartista, enhancing Milan’s tactical options.

He further commended Okafor’s diverse capabilities, stating that the Swiss forward of Nigerian descent can excel both as a centre forward and a second striker.

“With Musah we are complete in midfield, I hope to go ahead with these players. Reijnders is intelligent, and Loftus-Cheek is a player with quality and physicality.

“Musah is an aggressive player, then there is Pobega and Krunic. We are a good unit. We can play in more ways than one, Chukwueze has arrived who can give us one-on-one on the outside, Pulisic can play as a trequartista, Okafor can also play as a centre forward and second striker. I have versatile players.” he said, as quoted by Milan Posts.

With the championship on the horizon, Pioli’s expressed satisfaction with integrating new signings, emphasizing the positive atmosphere and Milan’s aspirations as they prepare to tackle the challenges of the upcoming season.

He added: “I like the way the new players are fitting in and the spirit of the team. We are working well to arrive at the start of the championship in the best possible way”

AC Milan will be looking to face Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in their opening match of their Serie A season campaign, and Chukwueze will be looking to keep up with his performance.
