Victor Osimhen continues impressive form as Napoli secures 4-0 victory against Hatayspor

The Super Eagles star appeared to be on line for another good season after having a strong 2022–23 campaign with Napoli

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, continues his impressive form as Napoli showcased a dominant display, securing a resounding 4-0 victory against Hatayspor, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 24-year-old who has proved to be the star of the show, bagging two brilliant goals to maintain his incredible form for the Italian club, as Giovanni Simeone also contributed with a brace, adding to the team’s impressive performance.

The match started with the Gli Azzurri displaying their attacking prowess early on, with Osimhen’s right-footed shot testing Hatayspor’s goalkeeper, Kardesler.

The breakthrough came in the 23rd minute when Politano set up Osimhen with a perfect pass, allowing the Nigerian forward to open the scoring for Napoli.

Just five minutes later, Osimhen struck again, capitalizing on a counterattack to net his second goal of the game, leaving Hatayspor defenseless.

Napoli continued their relentless pressure in the second half, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s efforts narrowly missing the target and Zedadka hitting the crossbar.

Simeone joined the goal-fest, securing Napoli’s third goal in the 64th minute, further showcasing the team’s attacking prowess.

Not stopping there, Simeone wowed the crowd with a splendid personal action, delicately slotting the ball underneath to complete his brace and seal Napoli’s fourth goal.

Osimhen’s performance has been nothing short of spectacular, highlighting his importance as a key player for Napoli.

His two goals against Hatayspor add to his incredible goal-scoring record and solidify his position as a pivotal figure in the team’s attacking front.

Napoli’s pre-season preparations have been promising, with this victory following a 1-1 draw against SPAL, a team they faced for the first time.

Under the guidance of coach Rudi Garcia, the team has been centered at the pre-season retreat in Abruzzo, gearing up for the challenges that await them in the Italian football league.
