Samuel Chukwueze set for AC Milan as Super Eagles star arrive for medicals ahead of €28m Move

The 2022–23 season saw Samuel Chukwueze put on a strong campaign, recording the most assists among Quique Setién troops

Nigerian forward, Samuel Chukwueze, is on the verge of completing a transfer to Serie A giants AC Milan from Villarreal, Soccernet.ng reports.

According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal is set to be worth €20 million, with an additional €8 million in add-ons.

Meanwhile, with pictures from Nigerian Photo Journalist, Pooja Media, Chukwueze has arrived at Milan’s San Siro stadium to finalize the move.

The Nigerian attacker was spotted jetting off to Milan, and arriving for his medicals. Once the deal is completed, he will become the sixth Nigerian player to wear the Rossoneri jersey.

The 24-year-old began his European career with Villarreal in 2017 and has since been an impressive performer, tallying 41 goals and 33 assists in 227 matches for the Spanish club.

With less than a year remaining on his contract with Villarreal, Chukwueze has decided to seek a new challenge in his career, and Milan appears to be the ideal destination.

Earlier this year, he caught the attention of the media with a stellar performance against Real Madrid, scoring a brace against Thibaut Courtois.

This performance reportedly attracted interest from Real Madrid, but the deal fell through due to Villarreal’s demands and concerns over the player’s injury history.

However, AC Milan has remained persistent in their pursuit of the talented winger and is now on the brink of securing his signature as he prepares to arrive in the city.
