Lookman wasted no time and attempted the first shot on goal in the opening minutes but the opposing goalkeeper thwarted his effort.
Unfazed by the initial setback, Lookman struck in the 8th minute, capitalising on a perfectly timed assist from Rasmus Højlund, opening the floodgates for his team.
The opening goal set the tone for Atalanta’s goal-scoring spree. Mario Pasalic doubled their advantage in the 19th minute, unleashing an accurate shot that hit the post and sailed past the opposing goalkeeper, Pelloni.
Lookman was not done yet and exhibited his composure under pressure, expertly executing a lob in the 28th minute to claim his second goal of the match.
Continuing their dominance, Atalanta added more goals to their tally. Joakim Mæhle found the top corner of the net in the 30th minute, courtesy of a precise pass from Pasalic. The 39th minute witnessed another goal from Davide Zappacosta.
