One-time Ligue 1 Champions, Montpellier are reportedly in contact with Lillestrøm SK over the signature of the prolific Nigerian striker.
French Ligue 1 side, Montpellier Hérault SC are interested in Nigerian forward, Akor Jerome Adams, Soccernet.ng reports.
One-time French Ligue 1 champions, are looking to bolster their attack with the addition of Lillestrøm SK striker, Akor Adams.
Akor joined the Norwegian side, in 2018 from Jamba Football Academy in Nigeria and signed a new three-year deal with Lillestrøm in December 2021, and has scored twenty-seven goals in the last two years for the Eliteserien side, including an impressive outing last term, where he scored fifteen goals in fifteen appearances for the team, setting up another two.
According to Nettavisen Sport, Lillestrøm have had a bid submitted for their prolific striker by Montpellier. With Montpellier’s Stephy Mavididi set to move to Leicester City and with Chelsea reportedly interested in another of their attacking options, Elye Wahi, the French side wants to do all it takes to have the deal with the Nigerian wrapped up as soon as possible and have submitted a sum rumoured to be around four million euros for the twenty-three-year-old, with additional bonuses. Watford are also rumoured to be interested in the striker, but nothing concrete has surfaced yet.
Akor, who featured for Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup, is yet to have a senior call-up to his name. Still, with such prolific numbers, and a move to a club in the European top-five leagues, he might be getting his name lined up alongside Victor Osimhen for the Super Eagles.
