Odumodublvck sends message to Declan Rice after Arsenal’s unveiling

The Nigerian artiste has had his song grooved by many Arsenal fans who are happy about the new signing of Declan Rice

Nigerian singer, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has sent words of encouragement to Arsenal FC’s new signing, Declan Rice, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Flying Emirate outfit secured the signature of the Englishman from West Ham United for a fee in the region of £105million, and unveiled him on their social media platform with Odumodublvck’s Declan Rice song.

After the gesture made by the London club hit the Nigerian media space and the football community, the Nigerian rapper was spotted congratulating the new British record signing.

Recall that the Abuja-based artiste’s track “Declan Rice” has been one of the top songs in the world since it was released in March 2023, and Rice himself has expressed his fondness for the song. The rapper and Rice were even seen enjoying the track together when they met in London.

In a video shared on his social media, Odumodublvck expressed his congratulations and faith in Rice’s success at Arsenal.

Watch the video here:

He described Rice as an underdog who is destined for great things in his new adventure. The rapper’s support for the footballer was evident as he said,  “Congrats, big one on your new adventure. Bro, you are going to be a success, trust me. You are an underdog, you were meant for this, and trust me this was meant to happen, this is destined.”

The interaction between Odumodublvck and Rice highlights the growing trend of Nigerian artists composing songs for their favourite players. YCEE’s song dedicated to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is a notable example.

It would not be surprising if another artist from Nigeria follows suit with a song for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, a hot forward in the football world.
