The 23-year-old striker just sealed a move to the Czech Republic champions, and Rosicky is pleased with the deal
Former Arsenal star Tomas Rosicky believes Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji will succeed at Czech Republic champions Sparta Prague, Soccernet reports.
Olatunji just signed a multi-year contract with Czech Republic champions Sparta Prague from Slovan Liberec.
The 23-year-old Nigerian striker made an impression in the Fortuna Liga last season, scoring four goals in 14 appearances. As Sparta Prague is one of the top teams in Czech Republic, they promptly swooped in for him.
Retired Arsenal star Rosicky, who is currently the club’s sporting director, is pleased that they were able to get Olatunji. He believes that the striker would fit well into the team.
“Olatunji is a player with interesting physical and speed parameters,” Rosicky said per the club’s Twitter handle.
“Typologically, Olatunji is an attacker that we do not have in our squad. Victor[Olatunji] has the potential to continue to develop in our environment, which is also a key reason why we are bringing him in.”
The new Fortuna Liga season is set to begin this weekend, and Olatunji would hope to hit the ground running for Sparta Prague as they begin their title defence.
