Osayi-Samuel could leave Fenerbahce this summer, and if he does, it would be on a good note
Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel helped Fenerbahce claim their first Turkish Cup in ten years after they defeated Istanbul Basaksehir 2-0 in the final on Saturday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Osayi-Samuel has had an average campaign with Fenerbahce. He made just 23 league appearances for Fenerbahce, most of which were off the bench.
The former QPR man has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, and the deal could happen this summer.
Osayi-Samuel was on the bench for Fenerbahce when they locked horns with rivals Istanbul Basaksehir. However, the team did not need his influence, as two first-half goals from Michy Batshuayi put the former Turkish champions in front.
Osayi-Samuel was introduced into the game in the 75th minute to shore up the defense, and he had a good showing, helping his side defend their lead.
It ended 2-0 at the Gursel Aksel Stadium in Izmir, and the victory gave Osayi-Samuel his first trophy in Turkey.
