Kane for Benzema: Why Manchester United will go all in for Serie A striker

England striker Harry Kane has reportedly emerged as Real Madrid’s number one target as a potential successor for Karim Benzema, Soccernet.ng understands.

A probable move for the Three Lions captain would force Manchester United, who are battling for Kane’s signature, to focus on their primary target, Victor Osimhen, who has been superb for Napoli this season.

The outstanding performance of the Super Eagles attacker is no longer news to the Manchester Club, who have been hunting for an ideal successor for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club after a controversial comment he made.

However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis declared that the attacker is not for sale and has set a price of £150 million before any bidders can be engaged.

The exorbitant transfer cost may not be paid by the Red Devils, prompting them to choose for Tottenham’s goal poacher.

Meanwhile, according to Football Daily, the London club is unwilling to sell the Englishman to any Premier League team, leaving the Spanish big spenders as the only option for the 29-year-old to lift a trophy.

However, if the sale goes through, United would have no choice but to sign the 24-year-old striker, which will rekindle Osimhen’s desire to play in the English Premier League.

Although Osimhen and his agent have not commented on his future, as the Serie A season comes to an end for the 2022-23 season, the Nigerian attacker will have more time to explore for the best alternative that fits well for his future.
