Anthony Ujah pens new deal with German club Eintracht Braunschweig

Ujah was the club’s highest goalscorer in the Bundesliga 2. last season, and he has earned another deal

Super Eagles striker Anthony Ujah has penned a contract extension at Bundesliga 2. Club Eintracht Braunschweig, Soccernet.ng reports.

Ujah joined Eintracht Braunschweig from German top-flight side Union Berlin last summer, and he proved his worth. The 32-year-old striker struggled in his final years at Union Berlin, but he hit the ground running at Braunschweig.

Ujah registered ten goals and five assists in 29 league appearances for Die Lowen, helping them stay afloat in the Bundesliga 2.

He made his impact felt as he was Eintracht Braunschweig’s highest goalscorer in the league. He was initially offered a one-year contract at the club, but the club has been impressed by his performance.

Eintracht Braunschweig have now revealed that they have extended Ujah’s contract at the club till June 2024. Speaking after his extension at the club, Ujah shared his excitement.

 

“I’m very grateful to Eintracht for giving me the opportunity to enjoy football again,” Ujah said on Eintracht Braunschweig’s website.

“The team welcomed me great from the start and always made me feel like that. You can’t buy the love I get from the fans and we also feel very comfortable as a family in Braunschweig.

“I’m really looking forward to playing another year for Eintracht and continuing to do so together with the team to work to achieve our goals.”
