Napoli’s star striker, Victor Osimhen, has made a rapid return to training after overcoming a bout of flu that kept him sidelined, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian international missed Wednesday morning’s training session due to illness, but his swift recovery has allowed him to rejoin his teammates for training at the SSCN Konami Training Center.
Osimhen’s determined efforts to regain his fitness have paid off, and he was back on the field with renewed vigour and tenacity.
The Napoli squad is currently preparing for their upcoming match against Inter, scheduled for Sunday at the Maradona Stadium as part of the 36th matchday of the 2022/23 Serie A season.
During the training session, the team engaged in various activities, including an activation and bull phase, a game on a reduced field, and a strength circuit. Osimhen demonstrated his commitment and resilience by actively participating in the entire session alongside his fellow teammates.
While Osimhen’s return will undoubtedly boost Napoli’s attacking prowess, the team also had personalized work for Mario Rui and therapies for Zedadka.
Nonetheless, Osimhen’s full involvement in the group training session suggests that he is back to full fitness and ready to contribute to his team’s efforts on the pitch.
Napoli fans will be relieved to see their star striker back in action, and the anticipation for Sunday’s match against Inter will undoubtedly be heightened with Osimhen’s return.
