Super Eagles star steals the show in Ligue 2, earns spot in season’s Dream Team

In a remarkable recognition of his exceptional talent, Super Eagles striker Josh Maja has earned a well-deserved spot in the prestigious French Ligue 2 Team of the Season, Soccernet.ng reports.

Maja’s electrifying performances throughout the campaign have not only caught the attention of fans but also earned him a place among the league’s finest.

With an impressive tally of 16 league goals and six assists in 37 games, Maja’s contributions have undeniably been instrumental in Girondins Bordeaux’s resurgence.

Following their unfortunate relegation to the French second tier last season, Bordeaux were determined to bounce back. Maja’s brilliance has propelled them to the brink of securing promotion to the illustrious Ligue 1.

Currently positioned in third place, Bordeaux’s destiny hangs in the balance as they eagerly anticipate their last league match against struggling Rodez.

The stakes are high, with automatic promotion to Ligue 1 on the line.

If Bordeaux can emerge victorious in their final encounter and second-place FC Metz falters against SC Bastia on Friday, Maja and his teammates will revel in their triumphant return to the top flight.
