Real Madrid contact President Fernando Roig for Super Eagles ace amidst links to England, Italy

The exciting winger is expected to be one of the most in-demand Nigerian stars in the summer following one of the most productive seasons of his career

Real Madrid have reportedly made inquiries about talented Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze following his impressive performance against them earlier this month, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 24-year-old Villarreal attacker caught the attention of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez after scoring a brace in his team’s 3-2 victory over the Spanish giants at the Santiago-Bernabeu.

Renowned journalist Pedro Pablo Parrado (as per Maxifoot) revealed that Perez contacted Fernando Roig, Villarreal’s president, to inquire about Chukwueze’s availability.

The Nigerian international has showcased his skills throughout the season, scoring six goals and adding five assists in 34 La Liga appearances this term.

However, Real Madrid could face stiff competition in their pursuit of the highly sought-after winger.

Chukwueze possesses a transfer release clause set at €100 million, which could potentially be reduced to €80 million during the upcoming summer transfer window, as per several sources.

Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa and Newcastle, have already expressed interest in securing the services of the promising player.

In addition to the English clubs, Italian giants AC Milan have also set their sights on Chukwueze as they look to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.

Previous reports have also linked Liverpool and Everton with potential moves for the 24-year-old winger.
