Oshoala celebrates Barcelona after claiming first title in four years

Barcelona claimed a big win at their Catalonian neighbors to claim their first title in four years

Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala posted a picture of the male Barcelona team in celebration of their Laliga title win on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Barcelona had failed to win the Laliga since 2019. In the last three seasons, the league was shared between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, with Los Blancos winning it twice.

However, there has been a new belief at the club this season with the arrival of Xavi Hernandez. Despite struggling in the Champions League and other Cup competitions, the Blaugrana have been consistent in the league.

They have lost only three games this season, and they finally got rewarded for their effort on Sunday after a comprehensive 4-2 victory over their neighbors Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium.

Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Alejandro Balde, and Jules Kounde were enough for Barcelona, while Joselu and Javi Puado scored the consolation goals for Espanyol.

The victory sealed Barcelona’s status as Laliga champions with four games left. And It was their 27th Laliga triumph.

Oshoala, who already helped Barcelona Femeni win the league this season took to social media to celebrate the male team. She posted an image of the team on her Instagram page.

Oshoala is the highest goalscorer for Barcelona in Laliga Femeni. However, she sits third on the overall rankings. The 28-year-old goal poacher has four league titles to her name since her arrival in Spain in 2019.
