Napoli preparing new deal for Osimhen

Osimhen has attracted some of the best teams in Europe, but Napoli are looking to tie him down

Italian Serie A champions Napoli are looking to tie down Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen with a contract extension, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has had a wonderful campaign with Napoli. The Super Eagles striker has scored 28 goals in 36 appearances for the Partenopeans, helping them win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.

His brilliance has turned heads around Europe, with Manchester United, PSG, Arsenal, and Chelsea all linked with the Napoli

However, it would be a tall order to get Osimhen’s services this summer because Napoli would demand around €150million before they let him go.

Osimhen still has two years left on his contract at Napoli, and the club is already looking to extend his deal and raise his wages. The 24-year-old goal poacher earns €4.5million a year, and Tutto Mercato Web reports that Napoli are willing to increase that figure significantly.

If Napoli can convince Osimhen to pen a new deal, it would put them in a good position to demand a huge fee. But if Osimhen refuses to sign a new deal, the club will be forced to sell him by next summer.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is known to be a shrewd businessman, and he would surely look to get more than the €72million they paid for him in 2020.
